WHITE FERNS outperforms India in third ODI, Seal Series with third straight win

The New Zealand women’s cricket team have been victorious over the Indian women’s cricket team in the ongoing ODI series between the countries. After picking up victories in the first two ODIs of the series, the WHITE FERNS finished the job in the third chasing a strong tally of 279 set by the Indian women.

India will play for pride to snatch a victory at the next ODIs in order to avoid being whitewashed. The fourth ODI will stream live and exclusively on Amazon Prime Video at 3:30 a.m. on February 22.

India’s strong batting performance throughout the series continues with Sabbhineni Meghana starting with 61 quick runs in 41 deliveries. Joining her was 17-year-old phenom Shafali Verma with her own half-century for the opening box office. As the middle order began to slow, Deepti Sharma had a crucial 69-point shot that took India to a solid 279 tally.

Indian bowling got off to a great start with captain Sophie Devine falling to an LBW without scoring a single point. Suzie Bates followed soon after and New Zealand were 14-2 after Jhulan Goswami’s first two overs. However, series star Amelia Kerr launched a New Zealand charge to get back into the game. She was flanked by several half-centurions like Amy Satterthwaite and Lauren Down, with Katey Martin also putting on a good show. Lauren Down ended the game in style with a whopping six as India suffered their fourth successive loss to New Zealand.
