SEAL Team Star Shares Final Season 5 Photo Shortly After Paramount+’s Big Renewal

military drama SEAL Team is currently gearing up for a sixth season, and I’m ready for more action. Ever since Paramount+ renewed the series, many have been pumped. Series star David Boreanaz was quick to share his excitement, though co-star Justin Melnick took a slightly different approach in a recent social media post. It looks to the future but also gets nostalgic as it shows the final shot in the fifth season finale.

Justin Melnick, who plays Brock Reynolds on the show, took instagram to share a special photo with their followers. The snapshot was taken during the final filming of the series‘ final season. Specifically, it appears to have been taken while the crew was filming the intense ambush that Bravo found himself in during the final moments of the episode. Even though the team’s status is unknown, Melnick is clearly excited for what Season 6 has in store. Check out the image in the post below:

Considering the unfortunate way SEAL Team finished season 5, it’s nice to see that something positive came out of the scene. Justin Melnick is always one to post behind-the-scenes photos and videos. In the past, he’s used them to praise the team and show off stunts he’s been able to pull off on the show. And sometimes he just springs to get to work on the show. Along with the star’s enthusiasm, it gives me more hope that Brock will come out of this current predicament nearly unscathed.

Aside from that last post, Justin Melnick celebrated the series’ renewal when it was announced. After the news broke, he marked the occasion by sharing a BTS video of Bravo’s ambush, which showed everything it took to bring that outburst and action to life. He and his co-stars surely have some memorable moments on set.

While most of the cast are expected to return in the upcoming season, one star might be missing. Max Thieriot, who has played Bravo rookie Clay Spenser since season 1, could leave. It was recently announced that Thieriot will star in Cal Fire, a show he is developing for CBS that is based on his own experiences growing up in Northern California fire country. If the series receives a full order, it’s hard to say how things will pan out.

On a safer note, Season 6 isn’t the only project SEAL Team fans can be thrilled. Shortly after the renewal was announced, Paramount+ announced that a movie was in the works. While there isn’t a whole lot of information out there just yet, it’s good to know there’s more in store for these great characters. And as the movie and the new season ramp up, let’s hope Justin Melnick continues the trend of sharing cool behind-the-scenes photos.

You can relive the action-packed and emotional Season 5 finale of SEAL Team, plus the rest of the series, with the use of a Paramount+ subscription. And while you wait for season 6, check out CinemaBlend’s 2022 TV schedule for updates on other shows.
