  • Rohit retired injured after facing 5 balls during the game
Rohit Sharma is fit and ready to lead the Indian team in the 4th and 5th T20I against West Indies which will be played in USA on August 6th and 7th. The India captain suffered an injury in the 3rd T20I on Tuesday August 2 and he walked off the pitch after facing just five balls. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Rohit hoped to recover from the problem in time. And it looks like he’s in great shape.

According to Cricbuzz, the India captain has recovered from the problem and will be available for the final two games. The news is a big relief for the Men in Blue as India do not have an experienced fly-half in their roster and Rohit has the responsibility to get the team off to a good start. The Indian team have now changed their approach to white ball cricket and batsmen are now looking to score hits from ball 1.

India leads the series 2-1 and a victory in either of the last two T20I will see them clinch the series. There may be a case where the visitors can rest Rohit if India seal the series in Game 4.

There are quite a few players who haven’t played on the tour yet and are waiting for their chances. Harshal Patel’s availability is also a big question in the game. The versatile bowler did not play in the series due to a rib injury. It was not available for 2nd and 3rd T20I selection. He could be fit for the penultimate game.
