Molly Cahill named assistant coach of the Senior Women’s National Team

Irvine, Calif. – April 12 – Molly Cahill – a seasoned coach at the national team, college and club levels – has been named a full-time assistant coach to the senior national team water polo staff of the United States. United States, head coach Adam Krikorian announced today. Cahill was part of the United States Water Polo Mountain Zone where she coached as part of the Olympic Development Program while also serving on the Junior Women’s National Team staff. Previously on the UCLA women’s water polo staff from 2008 to 2017, Cahill helped the Bruins to 12 NCAA tournaments, including an NCAA championship.

A standout player at UCLA, Cahill was on three NCAA championship teams at Westwood before embarking on a coaching career that saw her mentor six Olympians. No stranger to club water polo, Cahill has coached age group teams with the Los Angeles Water Polo Club, Bruin Stars & Stripes and most recently the Colorado Pirates Water Polo Club.

Cahill resides in Seal Beach with her husband Cooper O’Connor and three children, Oliver (born June 2016), Arlo (born August 2018) and Archer (born June 2021).
